Regional IT Application Manager

About the role

The Regional IT Application Manager manages and optimizes regional business applications so they support operational and strategic objectives. The role is the main link between regional business functions, IT teams and vendors, ensuring applications are reliable, compliant and aligned with global IT architecture and governance. It covers application lifecycle management, system optimization, vendor and SLA management, budget control, user support and governance. The position is open in the APME region; the final location depends on the country of the selected candidate. Applications close on 06 December 2025 and must include a CV in English.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of regional applications, from planning and implementation to maintenance and decommissioning, working with the IT Enterprise Architecture team and business stakeholders.
• Design, develop and maintain regional application architecture, ensuring integration with the global IT landscape (data flows, interfaces, infrastructure).
• Monitor performance and user satisfaction, and recommend and lead enhancements, upgrades or replacements.
• Act as the main liaison with software vendors and service providers, oversee SLAs, and support contract negotiations with Global IT and Procurement.
• Manage the regional application budget, including cost planning, monitoring and reporting, and contribute to annual IT budgeting.
• Coordinate with the Service Desk and Desk-Side Support teams, develop user documentation and training materials, and act as first escalation point for complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity and data protection standards, and work with Business Engagement Managers to align regional strategy with business goals.
• Lead or coordinate regional application projects and manage change processes with minimal disruption.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; a Master's or MBA in Information Systems or Technology Management is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT application management or related areas.
• Proven experience managing regional or business-unit applications and in application lifecycle management.
• Strong project management, vendor management and SLA oversight experience.
• Background in multinational environments is a plus.
• Fluent English; additional regional languages are an asset.

Required skills

• Understanding of application architecture, integration and system design.
• Hands-on experience with application performance monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM and other enterprise software.
• Knowledge of IT governance, security and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR).
• Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
