Research Fellow (Machine Learning)

About the role

The Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Research Fellow to design and implement advanced machine‑learning algorithms that support its interdisciplinary research programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, improve and apply AI/ML algorithms to classify and predict data and images generated by IDMxS.
• Collaborate with researchers across multiple clusters to integrate machine‑learning solutions into ongoing projects.
• Supervise PhD and undergraduate student projects, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Publish research findings in top‑tier journals and present at leading conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in machine learning with a record of first‑author publications in high‑impact venues.
• Proficiency in AI programming languages, particularly Python.
