Sales Specialist - Pulp, Paper and Fiber

About the role

ABB is hiring a Sales Specialist for its Pulp, Paper and Fiber Business Line within the Process Industries division, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. The role is based in Singapore and supports customers across selected Southeast Asia markets, with a hybrid work model. It aims to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and meet order, revenue, margin and customer satisfaction targets.
• Build, manage and continuously improve a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and opportunity progression.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with key customer stakeholders across management, operations, engineering, maintenance and procurement functions.
• Lead sales opportunities through qualification, negotiation and order closure, and drive proposal development and commercial discussions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, market segments and growth initiatives in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with local, regional and cross-functional teams to leverage ABB's full portfolio and share market intelligence.
• Support service-related activities such as site visits and troubleshooting when required.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of industrial automation and electrical systems, with a willingness to learn ABB Pulp, Paper and Fiber solutions through training and field exposure.
• Strong listening and consultative skills, with a solution-selling mindset covering pricing, profitability and customer value.
• Ability to work in industrial environments such as customer sites, mills and production facilities, and to travel across Southeast Asia.
• Champions Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and adheres to ABB safety standards.
• Effective communication in Mandarin and English.
