Senior Assistant Manager, Fire Safety

About the role

Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) is looking for a Senior Assistant Manager, Fire Safety. The main role is to act as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM registered under SCDF) for the hospital's buildings and to take on the responsibilities of the FSM under the Fire Safety Act.

Key responsibilities

• Register with SCDF and act as Fire Safety Manager for TTSH buildings, performing all duties required by the Fire Safety Act and any additional functions assigned by the SCDF Commissioner.
• Prepare and submit the annual Fire Safety Report to management and advise them on all fire safety matters.
• Monitor loss prevention equipment such as fire protection systems regularly.
• Organise fire emergency drills and tabletop exercises.
• Establish and review fire safety policies, procedures and standards, and update quality procedures, work instructions and supporting documents.
• Conduct in-house fire safety inductions and review fire safety features in the hospital, proposing improvements where needed.
• Act as the hospital's liaison with authorities on fire safety submissions and coordinate with departments, especially on fire safety during minor or major renovations.
• Take part in Safety Committees and help promote a fire-safe working environment.
