Senior Associate, Economics Advisory

About the role

EY's Economics Advisory Practice helps governments and private-sector clients solve policy, strategy, international development and commercial decision-making problems using economics thinking, frameworks and analytical tools. The practice is growing and is looking for economic consultants to join its team in Singapore. As a Senior Associate, you will lead workstreams on engagement teams and deliver high-quality analysis for development, policy and business projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own specific workstreams and produce end-to-end deliverables such as economic reports, feasibility studies and impact analyses
• Carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis of economic trends, demand projections, supply-side analysis and industry developments
• Develop and maintain economic models and databases
• Build economic and consulting toolkits covering problem solving, modelling, data analytics, primary research, report writing and synthesis
• Keep up with the latest economic research, methodologies and industry advances
• Take part in professional development and support senior executives in business development, including proposal development

Required profile

• Degree in economics from a reputable university with a strong academic record; a Master's degree is a plus
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience, preferably in consulting or government
• Independence, strong problem-solving ability, ownership of projects and client deliverables, and intellectual curiosity

Required skills

• Econometric techniques, economic modelling, statistical analysis tools and financial modelling
• Ability to turn analysis into compelling narratives
• Knowledge of economic issues such as tech and AI development, country growth, labour markets, government policies and international development
• Strong numerical, writing and communication skills
