Senior Consultant - Automation Tester (FSI)

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Senior Automation Tester in its FSI banking and financial practice, based in Singapore. The Automation Tester designs, develops and executes automated tests that ensure the quality, stability and performance of applications, reducing manual testing effort and increasing test coverage. Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile and API applications.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Analyse requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to create effective test plans.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent execution across environments.
• Identify defects, document findings and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for automation failures and optimise scripts for reliability.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, dashboards and documentation.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, grooming, reviews and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration, detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript or C#.
• API test automation with REST Assured, Postman or Karate.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Git and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr or TestRail.
• Preferred: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow), performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust), Docker and Kubernetes, and ISTQB or similar QA certification.
