About the role

Infosys is hiring a Senior Consultant in its FSI practice in Singapore. The role leads a team in developing and maintaining Spark, Hadoop and Hive applications, and involves migrating SAS code to Python.

Key responsibilities

Lead a team in developing and maintaining PySpark and Hive applications
Work with data scientists and analysts to build data pipelines and data models
Optimize PySpark and Hive queries for performance
Troubleshoot and debug PySpark and Hive applications
Migrate SAS code to Python, deliver new Python applications and document the migrated code
Work with other engineers to ensure a smooth transition to Python

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or a related field
Experience leading a team
Strong delivery skills and experience with data migration

Required skills

Spark, Python, SAS, Hive, Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem
Data modeling, data wrangling and data analysis
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
