Senior Engineer, Engineering - Maintenance

About the role

This is a fully site-based Senior Engineer position in Engineering - Maintenance at Lonza's Singapore Tuas site. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily routine and repair work orders as assigned, enabling smooth handover and minimizing disruption to the production schedule.
• Respond on call for service breakdowns and ensure routine maintenance is carried out as scheduled, in line with engineering standards, GMP and EHS requirements.
• Analyze and interpret data to develop solutions based on engineering knowledge and field experience, resolving problems quickly and effectively.
• Troubleshoot, recover and fix equipment breakdowns with the Maintenance Associate Engineer.
• Ensure audit readiness by complying with standards, regulatory and statutory requirements and cGMP to prevent major compliance observations.
• Review executed maintenance work orders in SAP so that all GMP documentation is accurate and complete.
• Perform deviation investigations, root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns, address technical enquiries and close Change Control tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset reliability and equipment, system and process robustness.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering-related field such as mechanical engineering.
• GMP experience.
• Able to work on call for machine breakdowns.
• Able to manage deviation cases.
