Senior Occupational Therapist (Community)

About the role

Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH), part of the National University Health System (NUHS) cluster, is a new health campus in Tengah Forest Town offering emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care. It is expected to be ready by the early 2030s. The Senior Occupational Therapist (Community) contributes to planning and delivering community occupational therapy services.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to planning of community occupational therapy services across the community hospital and outreach programmes, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders on community-based occupational therapy services.
• Assess and manage patients referred for community occupational therapy independently, implementing appropriate treatment plans using specialised occupational therapy knowledge and skills.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings to support care transitions.
• Document patient clinical assessments accurately in occupational therapy records.
• Network with healthcare practitioners and community partners within and beyond NUHS.
• Comply with clinical and service standards and assist with administrative and service-related duties as tasked.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Full registration with AHPC.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritise workload and multi-task effectively.
• Strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills; team-oriented with initiative and independence.
• Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
