Senior Product Engineer (Fludics)

About the role

A global technology manufacturer in a highly regulated industry is looking for a Senior Product Engineer in Singapore to lead product transfer and industrialization from development into manufacturing. The role covers product sustaining, engineering evaluations and troubleshooting of mechanical and fluidics systems, working with R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and supplier partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product transfer and industrialization activities from development into manufacturing.
• Drive product sustaining initiatives focused on quality, yield improvement, reliability and cost optimization.
• Conduct engineering evaluations, root cause investigations and complex troubleshooting across mechanical and fluidics systems.
• Use statistical methods such as DOE, FMEA, SPC and data analytics to improve manufacturing and product performance.
• Support design validation, reliability testing, system characterization and engineering change management.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in technical problem solving.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, NPI or product lifecycle management.
• Experience with complex systems involving fluidics, electromechanical assemblies or precision instruments.
• Experience in product characterization, verification testing, reliability assessments and manufacturing support.

Required skills

• Mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFMA and reliability engineering.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, sensors, manifolds, tubing and flow control systems.
• Familiarity with CAD, PLM, Excel, Minitab, JMP or similar analytical tools.
• Structured problem-solving methods such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, 8D or KT.
• Understanding of regulated product development and engineering change control.
