Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to support large‑scale infrastructure projects in Singapore. The role involves cost management, contract administration and liaison with clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general support and advice on mechanical and electrical services, preparing design brief documents.
• Evaluate contractor design proposals, specifications and carry out cost analyses for M&E services.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to calculate project costs and take‑off quantities.
• Prepare and administer main MEP contracts and nominated sub‑contracts, including variation orders and interim valuations.
• Attend onsite and consultant meetings, liaise with clients on MEP matters and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assess statutory building regulations, compile contract documents and ensure compliance.
• Allocate work to subcontractors, monitor progress and produce detailed progress reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university.
• At least 8 years post‑graduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimating, tendering and contract administration of mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Responsible, self‑motivated and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication and written English skills.
