Senior Security Engineer (Elastic Stack)

About the role

Sopra Steria, a listed European technology group with over 51,000 employees, is hiring a Senior Security Engineer (Elastic Stack) in Singapore, its regional headquarters for Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services. The role assists a key client, a leading global investment bank, and sits within the Production CSIRT / SIEM Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Install and administer the servers of the SIEM infrastructure.
• Develop automation for tasks and self-service tools.
• Take part in integrating new log technologies.
• Support log parsing through custom parsers and GROK development.
• Act as a full-time member of the Production CSIRT / SIEM team and contribute to incident reporting via the Incident Management System.
• Help implement the Permanent Control framework, including control plans, and comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.

Required profile

• Overall 7+ years of experience, with at least 4-5 years on the relevant scope (ELK stack expertise for large platforms or architectures).
• Production support engineer experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, documenting and administering multiple pre-production and production platforms in virtual and physical environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Mandatory: working knowledge of the Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) including data ingestion, management, monitoring and analytics.
• In-depth experience with Kafka.
• Good working knowledge of Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu).
• Programming skills (Python or Bash) are appreciated.
• Automation tools (e.g. Ansible) and DevOps pipelines are appreciated.
