Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Pave Bank is building the next generation of programmable banking infrastructure and needs a Senior Security Engineer who blends strong software engineering with deep security expertise. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review platform and product code to uncover security flaws and attack paths.
• Conduct red‑team exercises, penetration tests, and continuous vulnerability scanning.
• Collaborate with engineering to design and ship secure solutions.
• Develop internal tools and automation to improve security testing.
• Educate teams on secure coding practices and stay updated on emerging threats.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with a focus on security.
• Hands‑on experience in red‑team and penetration testing.
• Ability to work independently and own security issues from discovery to remediation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain security concepts to engineers.
• Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Java.
• Experience with red‑team operations and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization patterns such as OAuth2 and RBAC.
