Service Sales Specialist - Drives, Motors & Electrification

About the role

ABB is hiring a Service Sales Specialist in Singapore, reporting to the Regional Service Manager. The role drives the service sales function for Drives, Motors and Electrification, selling the full service portfolio and building long-term customer relationships through lifecycle management, modernization, preventive maintenance and digital solutions. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Installed Base (IB) penetration by promoting service offerings such as preventive and predictive maintenance, lifecycle services, spare parts, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, modernization, digital solutions and service agreements.
• Identify and develop new service sales opportunities using the Installed Base database, customer asset lifecycle, market trends and operational needs.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue, profitability and growth targets across assigned customers and market segments.
• Build trusted customer relationships by understanding operational challenges and delivering value-based service solutions that improve reliability, productivity, energy efficiency, sustainability and asset performance.
• Conduct regular customer visits, account reviews, presentations, seminars and marketing activities to strengthen engagement and expand ABB's service footprint.
• Support commercial and technical risk assessments, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and project handover in line with ABB policies.

Required profile

• Diploma, Higher National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in service sales, technical sales, field service or application engineering within industrial automation, electrical systems, drives, motors or electrification.
• Preferred: experience with low voltage and medium voltage drives, electric motors, motor control centers and MV switchgear; experience in pulp & paper, mining, metals, utilities, water, cement, oil & gas or general manufacturing; willingness to travel regularly across Southeast Asia.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Drives, Electric Motors, Power Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrification or Asset Management is preferred.
• Proven experience in Installed Base penetration, lifecycle management, service agreements, modernization, upgrades and aftermarket service sales.
