System Engineer - Avionic Systems

About the role

A well-established engineering and technology organisation in the aerospace, defence and advanced systems sector is looking for a System Engineer to design and integrate advanced avionics systems for military aircraft. The role covers the full system lifecycle, from concept through testing, and is based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing, evaluation and integration of avionics systems for aircraft platforms.
• Support the project lifecycle from requirements definition to deployment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate emerging avionics technologies.
• Develop system requirements, specifications and architecture designs.
• Perform system integration, validation, troubleshooting and testing.
• Support customer acceptance testing and operational readiness activities.
• Deliver technical training and ongoing engineering support to end users.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
• Understanding of electronics hardware, embedded systems or systems engineering principles.
• Exposure to avionics, aerospace systems, defence technologies or aircraft integration projects is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Familiarity with avionics communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC 429 is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within project teams.
• Communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
