System Engineer – Infrastructure & Virtualization

About the role

The System Engineer will support, maintain, and enhance enterprise infrastructure and virtualization environments for our customers. The role ensures stable, secure, and highly‑available services through proactive administration, patching, remediation, and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Nutanix HCI, VMware ESXi/vCenter, Windows Server and related infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance, health checks, patching, upgrades and optimisation activities.
• Provision virtual machines, manage clusters, snapshots and monitor resource utilisation.
• Execute vulnerability remediation, CVE work‑arounds, system hardening and SSL certificate renewals.
• Support backup, restore, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity operations using enterprise backup solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, storage and OS incidents within SLA timelines.
• Monitor performance, alerts, capacity and overall health of managed environments.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, patch and operational governance processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines and audit records.
• Coordinate with vendors, cloud, network, security and application teams for issue resolution.

Required profile

• Strong technical troubleshooting ability in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Operational discipline with experience in proactive maintenance and governance.
• Customer‑facing skills to engage and support internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting on‑premises and hybrid‑cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with audit, compliance and security standards.
