Technical Application Consultant - Automation & Smart Manufacturing

About the role

A multinational technology company known for industrial connectivity and automation solutions is recruiting a Technical Application Consultant in Singapore. The role supports customers across automation and smart manufacturing projects, blending technical expertise, customer engagement and growth. It sits alongside global engineering, product management and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand application requirements and technical challenges
• Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable industrial solutions
• Support design-in activities and identify opportunities for customised applications
• Investigate and resolve product, application and quality-related issues
• Coordinate with engineering, product management and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops and training sessions
• Monitor market developments and share customer insights to support business growth

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in application engineering, technical consulting, technical support or industrial automation
• Knowledge of industrial connectivity, automation systems, control solutions or related technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience providing technical solutions and customer-facing support
• Experience with cross-functional teams, regional stakeholders and technical presentations or workshops

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM systems and digital engineering tools
• Technical presentations, workshops and product demonstrations

• Salary of SG$8,000 to SG$11,000 per month (SG$96,000 to SG$132,000 per year)
