Transfer Pricing Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

DFDL, an integrated legal and tax advisory firm founded in 1994 with offices in 12 countries across Asia, is expanding its transfer pricing practice and seeks an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager or Senior Manager to help build a regional transfer pricing team. The role reports to the Head of Regional Tax Practice and the Tax Partner, works alongside the regional tax team, and advises clients across multiple jurisdictions. The location is flexible: Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Phnom Penh or Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Provide transfer pricing advice exclusively on behalf of the firm and to its clients.
• Work as part of an experienced international team on transfer pricing projects for companies in the Greater Mekong and Asia Pacific regions.
• Lead all aspects of basic transfer pricing engagements, including scoping, fact gathering, functional interviews, economic analysis and report drafting.
• Assist Partners and Directors with cross-border transfer pricing planning projects and complex tax-efficient supply chain design and modelling.
• Take part in business development, including meetings with senior colleagues to pitch transfer pricing services to potential clients, and in government relations, chambers of commerce and business clubs.
• Contribute to knowledge management, professional development and firm administration as requested.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 to 8 years of transfer pricing experience in a Big 4 or boutique transfer pricing firm.
• Experience with project management, functional analysis and benchmarking studies.
• Exposure to business development, client presentations and managing client relationships.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken; fluency in Vietnamese is a plus.
• Proactive, passionate about tax, and able to interact confidently with clients and manage teams and engagement economics.
