Unix/Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linux Platform Engineer to manage secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure within a banking environment. The role focuses on high‑availability solutions and automation to ensure continuous service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Linux platforms (RHEL, Oracle Linux).
• Perform system hardening, security compliance, and periodic patching in line with banking standards.
• Manage high‑availability and clustering solutions using Veritas InfoScale and PowerHA.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Bash/Shell scripting.
• Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning, and tune systems.
• Provide L3 support, incident management, and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain detailed documentation and operational runbooks.
• Support weekend maintenance windows as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on Linux platform engineering experience.
• Strong background in Linux OS administration (RHEL, Oracle Linux).
• Solid experience with Veritas InfoScale for HA configurations.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Familiarity with banking compliance and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
• Knowledge of AIX is a plus.
