About the role
The Health Promotion Board (HPB) is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and dynamic Assistant Director to advance health promotion by turning research into practice. - Turn data, behavioural insights, user research and implementation constraints into clear, decision-ready narratives (written and in slides) for diverse stakeholders
- Incorporate behavioural insights into the setup, design, testing and review of human-centric user experiences and digital health interventions
- Manage the digital product cycle, from ideation and design through feasibility trials, outcome evaluation and deployment-ready recommendations
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary tech squad (product, engineering, data, design) to prototype and evaluate generative AI-enabled coaching and personalisation concepts
- Work with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, data scientists, deployment teams and practitioners
- Demonstrate value to citizens through quantifiable outputs and outcomes, and secure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders
Required profile
- Good degree in any discipline
- At least 8 years of total relevant experience, including 5 years overseeing and managing end-to-end projects and 3 years leading cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams
- Proven track record applying behavioural insights, with familiarity with design thinking
- Prior experience in public health, health care, health sciences, research or quantitative fields is an added bonus
- Experience with AI-enabled or data-driven digital products is a strong advantage
Required skills
- Big-picture thinking and ability to synthesize insights into coherent decision narratives
- Project management skills for research, experimentation and cross-functional coordination
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable as an individual contributor or leading a team
Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract. The role is fundamentally research- and insight-driven, with deployment as an outcome of evidence.
