Assistant Sales Engineer, Power Generation

About the role

Rehlko, a global leader in energy resilience with more than 100 years of experience, is looking for an Assistant Sales Engineer. The role aims to meet sales turnover, revenue and margin targets within planned and budgeted expenditure for its area of responsibility. Rehlko's product range includes engines, generators, power conversion, UPS systems, EV components, microgrid controls and clean energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sales and market strategies for specific territories
• Execute product sales within margin guidelines
• Build and maintain key relationships with customers, business partners and distributors
• Advise stakeholders on competitive sales, market data and trends in customer and distribution channels
• Work with Marketing, Engineering and Operations so products meet customer specifications and quality
• Travel periodically to territories to support distributors and dealers in developing the market
• Set budgetary forecasts, sales volume targets and clear directions for distributors and dealers to achieve revenue and profit objectives
• Provide marketing and technical support to distributors and dealers
• Analyse sales and market data to inform senior management decisions
• Support customer service in following up on payment issues

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering with at least 4 to 6 years of relevant sales experience in the power generation business or a related business
• Experience in the power generation business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High self-drive, able to work independently and as a team player
• Customer-focused, committed and resourceful
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
