Banquet Operations Executive

About the role

Pullman Singapore Orchard, a 5-star hotel, is looking for a Banquet Operations Executive to organise, plan and direct the daily banquet event operations and administer the department. The role covers event setup, team training, guest feedback and hygiene and safety checks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in banquet events such as Chinese, Indian and Malay weddings, seminar/MICE, social lunch/dinner, western set, buffet and VIP events, adapting to changing operational needs
• Use basic audio-visual knowledge to set up events according to the Banquet Event Order or Change Log, keeping coffee breaks and buffets clean and hygienic
• Keep team members with direct guest contact informed of guest feedback, satisfaction and complaints, and handle complaints tactfully and efficiently
• Train team members and casual labour on banquet operations in line with department standards, and maintain the department communication logbook and notice board
• Document at least 10 guest reviews per month, collated and submitted to management
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage services, record daily hygiene and temperature logs for chillers on Level 2, and inspect the banquet area weekly for defects or safety issues, coordinating with maintenance
• Know hotel fire, life safety and emergency procedures, attend briefings and meetings, and report for duty on time in a clean uniform

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management/F&B preferred; additional F&B certification is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English; ability to speak other languages is an advantage
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills, good communication and customer-contact skills, and ability to work under pressure
