About the role

Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, two hotels in the heart of Singapore's shopping, dining and entertainment districts, are hiring a Bell Porter. The role provides guests with friendly, timely luggage and amenity service, assists them with room facilities and works closely with the Doorman, with the possibility of performing Doorman duties when required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver guest luggage and items promptly and courteously, and provide organized, seamless luggage service
• Orient guests to room facilities and give them information and assistance as needed
• Attend to guest requests as directed by Leaders, Captains and Communications Agents, and respond to requests in a timely manner
• Communicate with Bell Captains via Mobitalk after completing assignments
• Be present in the lobby to assist guests and work with the Doorman on arrival and departure luggage
• Perform manual wake-up calls for guests during night shift and ensure timely delivery of amenities, especially at night
• Help with group luggage logistics and ensure smooth driveway traffic flow
• Maintain the hotel's grooming standards at all times

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; no prior experience required as training is provided
• Able to read and write English; a second language is preferred
• Physically able to carry out porter duties
• Guest-focused, courteous and polite, with good communication skills
• Team player, flexible, adaptable, honest and with a good attitude and initiative
