Business Development Specialist - Merchant Acquisition

About the role

EPOS, part of Ant International's merchant payment services division Antom, is a point-of-sale digital solutions provider based in Singapore serving small and medium-sized businesses with integrated O2O solutions. It is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Hunter / Business Development Specialist to join its growing Payments Team. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and acquiring new merchants for payment solutions, primarily as a hunter role.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business leads through cold outreach, referrals and networking
• Deliver sales presentations and product demos tailored to merchant needs
• Pitch, negotiate and close deals to onboard merchants onto EPOS payment solutions
• Build a strong sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets
• Understand merchant pain points and recommend tailored solutions
• Support onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations
• Maintain long-term relationships and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities
• Build relationships with key decision-makers across merchant categories
• Collaborate with product, onboarding, marketing, operations and customer success teams

Required profile

• Experience dealing with SMEs or enjoyment of talking to people
• Confident, articulate and persuasive in pitching solutions to potential clients
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working with targets
• Willing to travel locally for client meetings
