Butler Intern

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century hotel, is looking for a Butler Intern. The intern sits at the heart of the residents' service experience, covering pre-arrival, arrival, in-house and departure arrangements. The role is an ambassador of the hotel, well rounded across Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa and other areas touched by residents.

Key responsibilities

• Create personal connections and anticipate residents' needs through observation and interaction.
• Customise check-in, suite set-up and orientation, offer welcome drinks, itineraries and dining recommendations and bookings.
• Organise special occasions, assist in-suite experiences, resolve feedback, serve daily amenities and help with departure arrangements.
• Handle tasks such as unpacking, packing, laundry, shoe-shining and in-room dining, and answer resident calls and emails.
• Work with the Front Office, Room Service and Housekeeping teams, and act as a link between residents and other hotel areas.
• Report security incidents and resident complaints to the Head Butler and uphold Accor's values.
• Deliver service according to brand SOPs, local SOPs and quality assurance standards, and follow work safety and health policies.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed a diploma or degree in tourism and hotel management.
• Excellent English communication and ability to communicate in a second language.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, professionalism and ability to work under pressure.
• Good computer and property management system skills, creativity and local market knowledge.
• Understanding of international luxury travellers; international experience and a plus.
