Chef De Partie

About the role

Pullman Singapore Hill Street, a 350-room hotel in Singapore belonging to the Accor group, is hiring a full-time Chef De Partie. The role covers training and supervising kitchen staff and ensuring consistently high-quality food in the assigned section.

Key responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen personnel in their respective sections.
• Ensure personal cleanliness and proper deportment of all team members.
• Produce high-quality food in the assigned area and check taste, temperature and visual appeal so portions match specifications.
• Store equipment and perishables hygienically and prevent the use of contaminated products.
• Keep team members who are ill or infected away from food preparation and enforce hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Work with Stewarding on kitchen cleanliness and adhere to safety, health, security, loss control policies and government legislation.
• Follow fire and life safety procedures and apply HACCP food safety standards.
• Attend briefings, meetings and trainings, maintain a high standard of personal appearance and perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum primary school education; additional culinary school certification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Good reading, writing and oral English, plus good communication and customer-contact skills.
• Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and health safety standards, including HACCP.
