Cluster Lead – Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Manager

About the role
The Cluster Lead – Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Manager will oversee the delivery of IFM services across a portfolio of eldercare facilities, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‑effective operations. This position will support the transition from traditional facilities management to a cluster‑based operating model.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee facilities operations across multiple nursing homes, senior care centres and day‑rehab centres, ensuring consistent service standards and safety.
- Lead site‑based IFM executives and senior operations executives, providing support to centre managers and deputy heads.
- Implement and manage integrated hard and soft services, including M&E, building systems, cleaning, pest control, waste management, security, laundry and kitchen infrastructure where applicable.
- Manage outsourced vendors, monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, and conduct regular audits and performance reviews.
- Direct preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, maintain asset registers and lifecycle planning, and recommend repair or upgrade works.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare licensing, fire safety, workplace safety and environmental regulations, supporting audits and corrective actions.
- Control operating expenditure, identify cost‑optimisation opportunities and support capital expenditure planning.
- Collaborate with internal clinical, operations and corporate functions, as well as external vendors and regulators, to resolve service issues.
- Support new site openings, renovations and transition projects while minimising operational disruption.
- Drive IFM transformation by implementing standardised SOPs, workflows and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading multi‑site facilities management operations, preferably in healthcare or eldercare environments.
- Strong knowledge of both hard (M&E, building systems) and soft (cleaning, waste) services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor contracts, monitor performance and conduct audits.
- Experience in asset management, preventive maintenance programmes and regulatory compliance.
- Solid budgeting and cost‑control skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management with internal teams and external regulators.
