Cyber Incident Response Specialist (V.I.E.) – Banking Client, Singapore

About the role

Sopra Steria's Asia Pacific regional headquarters for Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services is recruiting a V.I.E. specialist in Cyber Incident Response in Singapore. You will join a cybersecurity team focused on IT production security investigation and incident response, supporting a major international banking client. The role strengthens SOC detection capabilities and manages cyber incidents across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement security use cases based on real-world attack scenarios and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
• Identify emerging threats and propose detection and mitigation strategies
• Run threat hunting and improve the detection capabilities of a 24/7 SOC
• Respond to security incidents, assess their impact and severity, investigate and coordinate remediation until closure
• Spot recurring issues and improve SOC processes and playbooks
• Collaborate with global, regional and local stakeholders, support compliance with policies and regulations, and help with reporting and audits

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response, with strong expertise in detection engineering or security use case development
• Solid experience in incident response, threat hunting and security event analysis
• Fluent English; French is a strong advantage
• Proactive, autonomous and able to work in complex international environments with many stakeholders

Required skills

• Master of SIEM solutions and security incident management processes
• ELK stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) or similar tools
• Linux environments (RedHat, Ubuntu)
• Scripting or programming (Python, PowerShell, Bash); SQL is a plus
• Ability to interpret security logs and turn them into detection use cases
