Cybersecurity Team Lead Consultant

About the role

Sopra Steria, a European technology leader in consulting, digital services and software, is forming a team of six consultants (including one team lead) to support a large government project in Singapore. The team covers security risk assessment, security policies, application security, vulnerability assessment, system security acceptance testing and cloud security. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing cybersecurity projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee security risk assessments across on-premise, cloud (AWS, Azure), DevOps, IoT and third-party environments
• Drive and review vulnerability assessments, prioritizing risks and defining mitigation strategies
• Review security policies, standards and procedures against regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CSA and MAS
• Mentor team members in application security, including secure code reviews, threat modelling (STRIDE, PASTA), architecture reviews and secure SDLC
• Lead cloud security architecture reviews, including configuration audits, IAM analysis, encryption and hybrid cloud governance
• Oversee System Security Acceptance Testing (SSAT), define test strategies and validate controls before go-live
• Prepare risk reports and executive summaries, and act as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Coach and develop junior team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CCSP or CISA strongly preferred
• 5-8 years of cybersecurity consulting experience with leadership in risk assessment, application security, cloud security, policy and compliance, security by design and vulnerability management
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hands-on threat modelling (STRIDE, PASTA)
• Project and people leadership, stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of NIST 800-series, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and MAS TRM
• Hands-on security testing in CI/CD environments
• Ability to lead multiple engagements simultaneously
