Deputy Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Office of Finance at NTU is seeking a Deputy Director to lead university‑wide financial planning and analysis. This senior position will shape long‑term financial strategies, support capital initiatives, and partner with key corporate functions to drive effective resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of finance professionals to coordinate and consolidate the university‑wide budget, working with department cluster leads and finance partners.
• Develop functional expertise and leadership capabilities among finance leads/partners to support operational finance strategy.
• Translate long‑term university and finance objectives into actionable financial plans across all departments.
• Plan and allocate resources to maximize contribution to long‑term goals.
• Benchmark best practices in higher education finance and drive continuous process improvements.
• Support capital and strategic initiatives through robust financial modelling.
• Collaborate with corporate functions such as Human Resources to provide financial insights for manpower planning and other university objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accountancy.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and budgeting.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Solid knowledge of audit administration.
• Strong senior stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
