Design Manager, Transportation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to support our growing portfolio of Design & Build (D&B) projects within the Transportation sector, covering railway, aviation, marine and civil‑structural works. The role bridges consultant‑led design and contractor execution, ensuring that design outputs are practical, buildable and aligned with contractor methodologies. The position can be based in Hong Kong or Singapore, depending on the candidate’s market experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multi‑disciplinary design teams across infrastructure projects.
• Drive design delivery in Design & Build environments and ensure constructability.
• Interface closely with contractors to guarantee efficient delivery and safety‑focused design.
• Provide guidance on drawing standards, detailing, submission formats and buildability considerations.
• Liaise with internal design teams, external partners and stakeholders.
• Promote and deliver modular construction technology (MIC) where applicable.

Required profile

• Chartered Engineer (MHKIE / MICE or equivalent) with QP and PE registration.
• Strong experience in infrastructure projects such as railway, airport and road works.
• Proven track record in Design & Build project delivery and deep understanding of contractor workflows.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong/China or Singapore infrastructure markets and regulatory environments.
• Established relationships with contractors; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Team‑player attitude.
