DevOps Engineer (GovText)

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government Technology Agency (GovTech), is hiring a DevOps Engineer for its GovText project. GovText is a text-related AI platform that provides reusable AI services to help agencies incorporate AI into their systems. You will work on small and large projects, building, maintaining and deploying the infrastructure behind them, with a mix of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the development, deployment, orchestration and maintenance of application services for the company's products
• Provide DevOps architecture implementation and operational support
• Plan and architect on-premises and cloud deployments (private and public cloud)
• Develop and manage processes, automation, best practices and documentation
• Build and operate continuous integration and deployment pipelines

Required profile

• Breadth of knowledge in government IT infrastructure and experience in government networks is helpful
• Disciplined approach and strong problem-solving instincts
• Aptitude for completing tasks and an attitude to continuous learning are more valued than formal certifications

Required skills

• Experience with on-premise deployments, government application and networking infrastructure, including air-gapped environments (a plus)
• Infrastructure services such as Elasticsearch, OpenShift, MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Cloud deployment and management in AWS, Azure and some GCP knowledge
• Scripting in Python, Bash and JavaScript
• Virtualization and networking concepts, patch maintenance, regression testing and security incident response
• Interactive workloads and machine learning toolkits such as JupyterHub, and highly scalable distributed systems
