Energy Market Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an Energy Market Analyst to lead market analysis and provide strategic insights that support investment decisions, planning and portfolio management across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead market analysis and deliver strategic insights for investment, planning and portfolio management across APAC.
• Monitor macro‑economic, regulatory, industry and competitive developments and translate them into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Develop datasets, dashboards and key performance metrics using Power BI and other analytics tools.
• Analyse energy market trends, supply‑demand dynamics, policy developments and emerging low‑carbon opportunities.
• Evaluate existing projects and new investment opportunities through commercial analysis, strategic alignment and risk assessment.
• Present market insights and recommendations to regional and global stakeholders.
• Prepare strategic reports, executive presentations and external communication materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, advisors and strategic partners across APAC.
• Support cross‑functional and regional strategic initiatives and undertake additional analytical assignments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in the power, gas/LNG or related energy sector with exposure to strategy, market analysis or research; knowledge of Asian energy markets preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the gas/LNG and fuel‑to‑power value chain.
• Proven ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and translate complex market data into actionable strategic insights.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present concise, structured recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
