Facilities Manager – 6‑Month Contract (Research Facilities)

About the role

The company is seeking a Facilities Manager on a six‑month contract to lead space management, infrastructure planning and project delivery for world‑class research facilities across its West and East campuses in Singapore. The role combines strategic design, construction oversight and sustainable operations to support cutting‑edge scientific work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement space‑management and infrastructure strategies that align with research objectives.
• Translate user requirements into design briefs, technical specifications and project budgets for consultancy and construction contracts.
• Oversee construction timelines, safety standards, budget compliance and quality assurance.
• Coordinate project meetings with users, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Define maintenance programmes that incorporate environmental sustainability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Champion green practices and drive sustainability initiatives in building operations.
• Administer contracts for ACMV, M&E services, BMS, security, cleaning, pest control, landscaping and lift systems.
• Liaise with laboratory and clean‑room teams on gas, chemical and water‑management systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project development or facilities management within research or industrial environments.
• Engineering background (mechanical, electrical or structural) is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines and multi‑disciplinary teams.
