Full Stack Desk Developer

About the role

Vitol, a global energy and commodities trader, is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join its Singapore-based analytics team. You will work closely with commercial and operational desks worldwide, building applications that influence the firm's decisions and helping transform its application landscape by prototyping, iterating and delivering scalable solutions. The role is office-based, five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to design and implement scalable, high-quality systems with a high degree of autonomy
• Identify requirements and build solutions that directly influence commercial decisions
• Manage project lifecycles end-to-end, from requirements gathering to delivery
• Write and maintain data feeds critical to analytics platforms and pricing models
• Deepen understanding of Vitol's MIS platforms so they can evolve

Required profile

• Relevant university degree
• 3+ years of full-stack experience in C# or Python (or both), with solid knowledge of ORM and API frameworks
• 3+ years of full-stack TypeScript/React development experience
• Experience building, maintaining and optimising relational SQL databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle)
• Experience with rapid dashboard development tools (Streamlit, Plotly Dash, React) and presenting complex data visually
• Understanding of code review, version control and issue tracking

Required skills

• C# and/or Python backend, with React (TypeScript) frontend
• Backend frameworks such as ASP.NET, Entity Framework, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic
• Nice to have: Oracle / PL SQL development, including stored procedures
