Guest Service Officer (NEC)

About the role

The NTU Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services manages commercial real estate, hospitality (including the Nanyang Executive Centre) and auxiliary services on the NTU main campus and NTU@one-north. The Nanyang Executive Centre, currently under refurbishment, has 150 guestrooms and offers a venue for corporate training, retreats and private events. As Guest Service Officer, you will be the welcoming face of the centre, supporting front desk operations, orienting guests and anticipating their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests warmly and give a welcoming first impression.
• Assist with check-in and check-out, and coordinate VIP and special guest arrivals and departures according to SOPs.
• Provide room orientation and introduce NEC facilities.
• Manage and coordinate special requests such as celebrating special occasions.
• Document guest feedback in the Property Management System.
• Keep the lobby and guest-facing areas neat and clean.
• Handle guest requests and direct those outside the Front Office's scope to the right departments.
• Listen to complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Be familiar with NTU and NEC facilities, major city attractions and events, and give accurate information.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Duty Manager or Front Office Manager.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Hotel Management or a relevant discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry in a similar capacity.
• Well-groomed, professional disposition with strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
