Housekeeping Manager, Nanyang Executive Centre

About the role

The NTU Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services manages commercial real estate, hospitality (including the Nanyang Executive Centre) and auxiliary services on the NTU main campus. The Nanyang Executive Centre has 150 refurbished guestrooms and refreshed event spaces aimed at hosting high-level conferences, workshops, executive programmes and industry engagements. The Housekeeping Manager will set and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, lead and train the housekeeping team, manage inventory and collaborate with other departments. Pre-opening duties include setting up the department, developing procedures and preparing the team for the centre's launch.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement housekeeping procedures and standards for a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Manage daily housekeeping staff activities, including scheduling, training and performance management.
• Ensure rooms and public spaces are kept to the highest standards.
• Be accountable for departmental budgeting and P&L.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and recommend purchases.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations and standards.
• Work with other departments to deliver a consistent, positive guest experience.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring new housekeeping staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management or a relevant discipline; diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping management experience in a hotel.
• Experience with hotel pre-opening is highly advantageous.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
