Head of AI & Digital, APAC

About the role

The Head of AI & Digital, APAC will shape and execute the AI, automation and digital transformation agenda across the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to global technology leadership, you will combine strategic vision with hands‑on delivery to accelerate AI adoption, modern digital platforms and next‑generation technologies that drive measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the APAC AI strategy in line with global direction and regional business priorities.
• Identify high‑value AI use cases in underwriting, claims, fraud detection, customer engagement and operations.
• Lead prototyping, development and deployment of AI/ML models, intelligent automation workflows and generative AI solutions.
• Build reusable AI components, frameworks and best practices to scale solutions across markets.
• Ensure AI governance, ethical standards, data security and regulatory compliance across APAC jurisdictions.
• Develop and drive the regional digital transformation roadmap, promoting cloud‑native, API‑first, low‑code/no‑code and workflow digitisation.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of digital products that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency and speed‑to‑market.
• Explore emerging technologies such as robotics, IoT and advanced analytics for insurance applications.
• Manage partnerships with technology vendors, SaaS providers, InsurTechs and innovation hubs.
• Serve as the regional point of accountability for AI and digital initiatives, communicating progress and ROI to APAC and global leadership.
• Lead, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers and digital transformation professionals.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience driving AI and digital transformation at scale within large enterprises.
• Strong track record of delivering AI/ML solutions and intelligent automation in regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native, API‑first and low‑code/no‑code architectures.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholder relationships and complex vendor ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior business and technology leaders.
