Intern – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (cGMP)

About the role

Lonza is looking for an intern to join its site in Singapore Tuas. This is a fully site-based role where you gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and support the team in day-to-day operations, covering Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Development Services, Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT). Working in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the principles and processes behind fill and finish operations for pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure strict adherence to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety regulations in all activities.
• Take part in developing standard working procedures for related activities in line with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and troubleshoot process-related issues.
• Receive daily supervision and step-by-step guidance on new tasks, including coaching on process flow in a cGMP environment.
• Support task organisation and documentation, and develop problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in biomedical science, pharmaceutical science, biotechnology, chemical engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion and desire to learn new things.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
