Part-Time Food Assistant (Restaurant)

About the role

IKEA Tampines is hiring a part-time Food Assistant for its restaurant, reporting to the IKEA Food Restaurant Manager. You will support the daily operations of the restaurant by delivering excellent customer service, handling cashier transactions and keeping the restaurant area clean.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the restaurant area by clearing dishes and utensils, including tables and chairs
• Dispose of and clear food wastage from the central clearing area
• Follow standard operating procedures and uphold high standards of Quality, Service and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.)
• Comply with food safety, hygiene practices and health and safety regulations at all times
• Handle cashier duties, including accurate processing of sales transactions
• Perform stock checks and keep inventory records accurate and up to date
• Promote sales through upselling and recommending add-ons to customers

Required profile

• Team player who is customer-service oriented and can cope in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
• Comfortable with restaurant cleanliness and cashiering duties
• Able to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays
• Willing to work AM/PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays
