Podiatrist - Tengah General and Community Hospital

About the role

The new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) in Tengah Forest Town is being built as a comprehensive health campus offering emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care, with a target opening in the early 2030s. NUHS is recruiting a Podiatrist to contribute to the planning of its Podiatry services and to provide independent podiatric care.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning of Podiatry services, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders on service planning
• Assess and manage referred patients independently, implementing treatment plans using specialised podiatry knowledge and skills
• Coordinate patient care with other physicians, collaborate in case conferences and make appropriate interdisciplinary referrals
• Document clinical assessments accurately in podiatry records
• Network with healthcare practitioners in NUHS and comply with clinical and service standards
• Assist with administrative duties as tasked

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Podiatry
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience preferred, preferably in a medical institution or hospital
• Ability to communicate and interrelate effectively in diverse contexts
• Adaptability, ability to multi-task and manage time well

• Ability to recognise, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of podiatric conditions
• Effective problem-solving, planning and organising skills, including awareness of resource management
