Principal AI Architect - FSI

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Principal AI Architect to lead the design, development and deployment of AI solutions across the bank in the Financial Services (FSI) vertical. The role shapes the AI strategy and ensures scalable, secure integration of AI into core banking operations, customer experience, risk management and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the bank's AI architecture and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Lead end-to-end solution design for GenAI/LLM and AI/ML models, including data pipelines and model training and fine-tuning, with hands-on involvement in LLMOps.
• Work with data science, engineering and business teams to identify GenAI, AI and automation use cases and deliver solutions.
• Ensure AI systems comply with regulatory requirements, ethical standards and data governance policies.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, platforms and tools.
• Mentor AI engineers and data scientists.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI/ML solution architecture, preferably in financial services.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and ethical AI practices in banking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks) and statistics and data engineering.
• Preferred: knowledge of financial products, risk analytics and customer behavior modeling.
• Preferred: certifications in AI/ML or cloud architecture.
