Principal - FSI (Technical Lead, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka)

About the role

Infosys is looking for an experienced Principal-level Technical Lead in its FSI banking and financial practice, based in Singapore. The role suits someone with 10-12 years of hands-on software development experience who can lead a team, design scalable solutions and support testing phases such as UAT and non-functional testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Architect, design and develop robust, scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot and MongoDB.
• Manage and deploy applications on the OpenShift platform.
• Implement real-time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
• Support end-to-end testing, including UAT, NFT and other quality assurance activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve coding standards, best practices and workflows.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Preferred: certifications in Java, OpenShift or Apache Kafka; cloud platforms and microservices; Docker; payments domain knowledge; inclination for fast delivery models.
