Principal FSI - Technical Lead (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka)

About the role

Infosys is looking for an experienced Technical Lead (Principal level) in its FSI banking and financial practice, based in Singapore. The role suits someone with 10-12 years of hands-on software development experience who can lead a team, design scalable solutions and support testing phases such as UAT and non-functional testing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Architect, design and develop robust, scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot and MongoDB.
• Manage and deploy applications on the OpenShift platform.
• Implement real-time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
• Support end-to-end testing, including UAT, NFT and other quality assurance activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve coding standards, best practices and development workflows.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Preferred: certifications in Java, OpenShift or Apache Kafka.
• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture, and knowledge of Docker.
• Good to have: payments domain overview and inclination to learn new domains in a fast delivery model.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and database management.
• Hands-on expertise with OpenShift for application deployment and management.
• In-depth knowledge of Apache Kafka for data streaming and messaging.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Experience supporting UAT, NFT and other testing phases.
• Problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
