Public Area Attendant

About the role

Mondrian Singapore Duxton, the first Mondrian hotel in Singapore and part of the Ennismore hospitality group, is looking for a Public Area Attendant. Working under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, the attendant helps keep the hotel's public areas running smoothly and efficiently in line with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities

• Keep all public restrooms and toilets clean, fresh and well-stocked, checking each one at least once every half hour during the shift
• Collect and stock restroom towels from laundry, fold them neatly and place them in the restrooms, and return dirty towels and soiled linens to laundry
• Dust, clean and wipe walls, doors and table tops in the lobby as needed, and empty and clean trash bins in public areas
• Make sure all public area telephones are clean and working, and keep furniture and equipment in good repair, reporting defects to the Housekeeping office immediately
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly with thorough follow-up, and deal with lost property following the correct procedure
• Follow key-signing procedures, look after assigned keys, and ensure all equipment and materials are clean and working
• Help colleagues with similar or related tasks, carry out projects and assignments given by the Director of Housekeeping, attend meetings and training, and take on reasonable requests from management
