QC Analyst (Microbiology, Shift)

About the role

Lonza is hiring a QC Analyst (Microbiology, Shift) in Tuas, Singapore. You will support routine quality control sampling and testing of environmental and product samples, such as bioburden and endotoxin testing, and the role requires shift work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform microbiology and environmental monitoring (EM) testing on raw materials, in-process samples, bulk products and environmental samples.
• Run tests such as bioburden, LAL, microbial plating and counting, and microbial identification.
• Review and document test results accurately in line with cGMP, SOPs and approved test methods.
• Monitor and analyse microbiological trends, flag unusual results and prepare reports.
• Support laboratory investigations and troubleshooting when results are out of specification.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory equipment.
• Take part in method transfer, method validation, equipment qualification and selection of QC equipment, standards and reagents.
• Maintain the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, housekeeping and inventory of supplies.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant chemistry or science field, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience; the final position depends on the candidate's experience and accomplishments.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and awareness of area-specific responsibilities.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
