About the role
The Energy Research Institute @ NTU seeks a Research Associate to advance carbon‑enhanced concrete technologies. You will lead material development, testing, and sustainability assessments within a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new concrete formulations incorporating various carbon materials for storage and performance improvement.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of the advanced concrete.
- Perform cost‑benefit and life‑cycle assessment (LCA) analyses of the developed materials.
- Demonstrate the materials in large‑scale, real‑world applications.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Materials Science, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
- Strong research background with peer‑reviewed journal publications and/or IP generation.
- Extensive knowledge of carbon‑enhanced concrete or geopolymer systems.
- Hands‑on experience in nano‑ and micro‑structural material tailoring, sustainable concrete development, and related testing methods.
- Excellent scientific writing and reporting skills.
