Resident Technical Officer – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

The Resident Technical Officer will oversee the construction and installation of mechanical and electrical building systems at the RWS Sentosa site. You will ensure that all systems meet performance, safety and regulatory standards while supporting facility management and responding to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction of mechanical systems such as ACMV, plumbing and sanitary works.
• Monitor installation of electrical distribution networks and power‑management infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal system performance.
• Maintain detailed records of construction activities, system performance and compliance with Singapore building codes.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, M&E contractors, vendors and facility‑management teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance and operation.
• Strong troubleshooting ability for both mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with Singapore building codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to commit to a 26‑month contract.
