Robotics Software Engineer - I

About the role

Botsync is looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to build intelligent autonomous systems and solve complex engineering challenges. The role sits within the MAG AMR software stack and involves working across software, hardware and product teams to deliver reliable solutions for autonomous mobile robots in live industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop and test algorithms for the MAG AMR software stack
• Optimise navigation algorithms, including planning, path tracking and motion control
• Develop SLAM algorithms for mapping and localisation
• Implement AMR state machine behaviour and robust error handling
• Maintain secure, up-to-date software through vulnerability assessments
• Write clear documentation of the codebase and development activities
• Run peer code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-country teams to debug, iterate and ship solutions
• Support on-site robot deployments and field testing, and partner with the product team on user documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
• Demonstrable real-world robotics experience; building one is a significant plus
• Strong problem-solving instincts and self-starting attitude
