Sample Preparation Technician I

About the role

Eurofins Scientific, an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, is hiring a Sample Preparation Technician I in Singapore. The role covers sample preparation tasks such as labeling, transferring, milling, blending and weighing, applied within a GMP/GLP framework.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote the company vision, and attend regularly and on time.
• Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility where appropriate.
• Perform sample preparation tasks to ensure sample homogeneity, including labeling, transferring, liquid nitrogen use, milling, blending, weighing, disposal and more.
• Communicate sample information clearly and report discrepancies to the right people, helping with problem solving.
• Handle internal customer inquiries and work with customer service coordinators to resolve client or sample issues.
• Introduce and develop improvement ideas for the group.
• Learn sample preparation procedures for larger equipment, and learn basic equipment maintenance and repair, including placing work orders.
• Receive an introduction to cross-training between food and dietary supplement preparation procedures.
• Work safely and efficiently, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a position requiring high attention to detail.
• Customer service skills, including accuracy, confidentiality and effective communication.
• Ability to identify and communicate customer service needs, resolve conflicts, document accurately, learn new tasks and solve problems quickly.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computers.
• Good documentation skills.
